Approved Applicator — Nuralite, Nuraply & GAF Waterproofing Systems
When you hire an approved applicator, you get more than just installation — you get the full backing of the manufacturer's warranty.
What Does “Approved Applicator” Mean?
An approved applicator is a waterproofing contractor who has been trained, assessed and endorsed by a specific membrane manufacturer to install their products. This is not a generic qualification — it is a manufacturer-specific certification that requires ongoing training, adherence to installation specifications, and quality assurance.
For property owners, hiring an approved applicator is the single most important step in protecting your waterproofing investment. Without an approved applicator, the manufacturer's warranty on your membrane system is typically void — meaning if anything goes wrong with the membrane itself, you have no recourse to the manufacturer. Even the best waterproofing products can fail if installed incorrectly, and manufacturers only stand behind installations completed by contractors they have vetted and certified.
Your Subbie Limited holds approved applicator status with both Nuralite (including Nuraply 3PM) and GAF — two of the most trusted waterproofing brands used in New Zealand. Combined with our Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP) credential (#BP181755, Roofing R4 & R5), this means every installation we complete is backed by both the manufacturer's product warranty and the legal protections of the Building Act.

Nuralite / Nuraply Approved Applicator

Nuralite is New Zealand's leading waterproofing membrane manufacturer, producing the Nuraply 3PM system used on thousands of residential and commercial projects nationwide. As an approved Nuralite applicator, Your Subbie has completed product-specific training on the full Nuraply 3PM system — including surface preparation, primer application, membrane installation, and detailing around penetrations, upstands, and flashings.
The Nuraply 3PM system offers a 15-year product and labour warranty when installed by an approved applicator. This warranty covers material defects and installation workmanship — giving you complete peace of mind. Learn more about Nuraply 3PM waterproofing.
GAF Approved Applicator

GAF is North America's largest roofing and waterproofing manufacturer, and their systems are increasingly specified on New Zealand commercial and residential projects. Your Subbie holds GAF approved applicator status for their TPO membrane and liquid-applied waterproofing systems.
GAF's TPO membrane offers exceptional UV resistance and heat-welded seam strength, while their liquid systems provide seamless waterproofing for complex geometries. Both systems carry manufacturer warranties when installed by an approved applicator like Your Subbie. Learn more about GAF waterproofing systems.
Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP)
In addition to manufacturer approvals, Your Subbie is a Licensed Building Practitioner (#BP181755) with Roofing R4 and R5 endorsements issued by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment. This means all restricted building work we undertake — including membrane roofing and waterproofing — is carried out under the legal framework of the Building Act 2004.
LBP licensing provides additional consumer protection: all work is subject to regulatory oversight, and homeowners have access to dispute resolution through the Building Practitioners Board. When combined with manufacturer-approved applicator status, this gives our clients the highest level of protection available for waterproofing work in New Zealand.
